TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTING FROM PRETORIA EAST CARAVAN RENTALS

MOST IMPORTANT:

• Lessee must have an EB license or higher.
• Copy of ID, drivers license and proof of residence (not older than 3months)
• No smoking in caravan or tent, fine will be charged of R2 000.00.
• No candles or open fires in the caravan or close to it.
• 50% rental amount must be made to confirm booking.
• Total deposit must be done 7days before pick up.
• No caravan will leave the property of Pretoria East Caravan Rentals until full/outstanding rental amount AND excess deposit is paid in full.
• No caravan will leave the boarders of South-Africa.
• Cleaning charges of a R1 000.00 for non cleaned toilet caset.
• No pets are allowed in caravan.
• No bicycles or any other loose goods are allowed to be packed in caravan.
• If anything on the inventory list gets broken or missing, a new full set will be bought by the lessee or Pretoria East Caravan Rentals and will be deducted from the deposit money.

RENTAL DURATION:

• The minimum rental duration is 3 (THREE) days.
• Lessee may pick up caravan the day before, but only after 15:00 in the afternoon, and it will not count as a payable day.
• Lessee may drop off caravan the day after, before 10:00 in the morning, and it will not count as a payable day.
• Pick up and drop off must be arranged when booking is made.
• All late returns will incur rental charges at the highest daily rate for each day the caravan is late. 
• It is regarded as a late return for every day that goods are being repaired thus making it non rentable.

INSURANCE:

• All caravans are comprehensively insured.  A damage excess deposit will be levied, which will be refunded within 5 (FIVE) days upon return of the caravan with no damage incurred to the caravan.  The excess deposit is payable by cash, electronic transfer or bank issued checque.
• The lessee shall be liable for any loss or damage to the caravan and equipment in the event of the insurance company failing to compensate Pretoria East Caravan Rentals for damages incurred whilst in the lessee’s possession. This include tire damage and all damages and/or loss to any caravan or goods or its contents for the period that the goods are rendered inoperable due to repairs.

EXCLUSIONS:

• The lessee will be liable for any damage to the caravan (including losses incurred due to the caravan being unavailable for rental whilst being repaired or replaced) or third party vehicle or property if:
• The terms and conditions of the rental contract are breached.
• Fire damage caused through negligence.
• Water submersion or salt water damage is caused.
• Driving on restricted roads.
• Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
• Damage to the caravan is caused by careless, willful or reckless driving.
• Any other behavior that would constitute a crime under South-African law.

• ACCIDENTS/DAMAGE/INFRINGEMENTS:

• Should the rental caravan be involved in an accident/loss and is not tow able, a replacement caravan, if available, may be collected from Pretoria East Caravan Rentals. 
• Should the lessee require a replacement caravan to be delivered, these charges will be for the lessee’s account.
• In the event of Pretoria East Caravan Rentals being compelled to recover a caravan, a recovery charge of R10.00 per kilometer will be charged.
• Should the caravan not be tow able.  Arrangement will be made by Pretoria East Caravan Rentals for the recovery BUT all charges will be for the lessee’s account.
• Should the lessee be unable or unwilling to take a replacement caravan, no refund for early termination of the contract will apply.
• No refund of rental days lost will be considered during the period in which a replacement caravan and/or accessories and/or goods are being arranged.
• Should the lessee continue with a replacement caravan, a new contract and insurance condition will apply.  Pretoria East Caravan Rentals reserve the right to apply the conditions in this paragraph as they deem fit.
• Pretoria East Caravan Rentals reserve the right to charge the lessee for any traffic fines, associated administration cost and/or accidents including third party vehicle and/or property damage not reported upon the return of the vehicle.
• The lessee shall be liable for any damage or loss, howsoever caused, to the caravan, or the goods or equipment rented in terms hereof.

REPAIRS:

• Any repairs to the caravan need to be approved by Pretoria East Caravan Rentals prior to commencement of any repairs.

OVERLOADING / TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS:

• It shall be the responsibility of the lessee not to overload the caravan.  Any damage caused by overloading will be claimed from the lessee.  It is not permitted to transport any person or animal in a rented caravan.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION FEES:

• Total amount must be paid before pick up, and must be accompanied with all documentation.
• Remember if a deposit is paid it guarantees the rental. First comes first served.
• Damage deposit/insurance excess is R5 000.00
• If cancelled 5-0 days prior to pickup or no show = no refund on deposit.
• Any cancellation before a school holiday or long weekend = no refund.
• If caravan is returned early for any reason = no refund.
